- Ranked number 2 in the world by Badminton World Federation in July 2010.
- Winner of Arjuna Award for 2008- 2009.
- Scripted history on June 21 2009, becoming the first Indian to win a Super Series tournament after clinching the Indonesia Open with a stunning victory over high ranked Chinese Lin Wang 12-21, 21-18 and 21-9 in 49 minutes in Jakarta.
- First Indian woman to reach the singles quarterfinals at the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
- Named The Most Promising Player of the World 2008 by World Badminton Federation.
- Played semi final of first Master Super series WBF held in Malaysia defeating Wong Julia and Pi Hongwin.
- National Champion seniors during 2006-07 and 2007-08 while in 2008-09 skipped the Championship because of shoulder injury.
- First Indian to win the World Junior badminton Championships 2008 by defeating ninth seeded Japanese Sayaka Sato 21-9, 21-18.
- Commonwealth Junior Badminton Champion 2008.
- Won gold medal in National games for individual event in 2007 at Guwahati.
- Created history by winning the prestigious Asian Satellite Badminton tournament (India Chapter) twice, in 2005 and 2006 becoming the first player to do so.
- In 2006, appeared on the global scene when she became the first Indian woman to win a 4-star tournament, the Philippines Open on way defeated Xu Hawain world No 4 . Entering the tournament as the 86th seed.
- National Badminton Champion under 19 years (twice) ,16 years (twice ) and 13 years (once).
- Name entered in Limca Book of World Records as the youngest player to win the 4 star tournament in badminton.
- Life member famous Cricket Club of India Mumbai.
